THE PHASES & KEY STAGES
The curriculum in Amnuay Silpa follows a five key-stage approach.
- The Foundation Phase (Nursery/Kindergarten 1 to Year 2/Prathom 1) covers the UK Key-Stage 1 curriculum, as well as the Foundation and first year of Primary Thai curriculum.
- The Primary Phase (Year 3/Prathom 2 to Year 6/Prathom 5) covers the UK Key Stage 2 curriculum as well as the second to fifth year of Thai Primary curriculum.

Foundation and Primary Phases
The UK and Thai curriculums provide a progressive and enjoyable learning experience for the children between the ages of 3 to 11 years. The first two years in Foundation Phase follows the UK’s ‘Early Years’ (age 3-5 years) where the children are immersed in a bilingual setting and continuously learning through play. Thai skills and content are structured around this UK learning approach.
Age appropriate challenges and experiences are given to the children throughout their learning journey, moving away from ‘learning through play’ and more towards independent and interdependent problem-solving applications and analysing of outcomes. As the children’s journey continues, their holistic capabilities develop and widens. This journey enables the children the opportunity to find their own academic strengths and interests in a variety of subjects before moving on to the more focused academic content in the Secondary Phases.
