Educational Visits
As a school committed to holistic education, our educational visits are an important aspect of our programme. The aim of our education visits is to:
- Enhance curricular and recreational opportunities for our students;
- Provide a wider range of experiences for our students than could be provided on the school site alone;
- Promote the independence of our children as learners and enable them to grow and develop in a new learning environment.
These visits will begin with short excursions into the local area in the Foundation Phase and progress to residential experiences (within Thailand) in the upper primary and secondary phases. We have also recently introduced a number of International residential trips, including an art trip to New York and a charity project in Cambodia.
For the most part, the educational visits will be related to the theme or topic that students are studying. Development of the English language is continually reinforced during such visits. The educational visits are planned between the Thai and UK staff and therefore cover objectives from both curricula. Holistic opportunities within other subjects are also sought, including theatre visits in English and drama, etc.
