Welcome from the Headteacher
A very warm welcome to Amnuay Silpa Primary Phase. It is a privilege to lead such a vibrant and caring community, and to work alongside our students, staff and families to make Primary a place where every child can thrive. Having previously served as Deputy, I am delighted to continue that journey as Head of Primary.
A primary school should, first and foremost, be a place where children feel safe to learn, grow and discover their interests and passions. For me, academic rigour and excellence go hand in hand with experiences that allow children to develop interests that will support their future happiness and success. Just as importantly, these years are an opportunity to develop character: becoming resilient, respectful and thoughtful young people who are able to make good choices, overcome challenges and contribute positively to the world around them
At Amnuay Silpa, children benefit from a broad range of learning experiences, from high-quality classroom teaching and collaborative projects to field trips and a wide variety of after-school clubs. Students are given regular opportunities to share and present their learning to others, developing both their understanding and their confidence.
As a proud bilingual school, we aim to ensure our students become confident and fluent speakers, readers and writers in both English and Thai. Our carefully planned curriculum balances the development of language with strong subject knowledge, enabling students to build on their previous learning as they progress through the Primary Phase.
When a child joins our school, we want them to feel a real sense of belonging and pride. We want them to feel challenged and supported by their teachers, confident to make mistakes and learn from them, and respected as individuals.
We believe children thrive when families, teachers and students work together. The Primary years are important in their own right, and we want children to enjoy and make the most of them, while becoming confident, thoughtful and independent thinkers who are ready for the opportunities and challenges ahead.
I look forward to welcoming you and your family to our Primary community.

Michael Simon Bailey
Head of Primary
The Primary Phase consists of a large intercultural team of dedicated and passionate staff who develop, coach and enhance the children through their global education and help celebrate their local traditions. Alignment of Thai and UK Curriculum Stages

The UK and Thai curricula provide a progressive and enjoyable learning experience for the children, following on from their Foundational years. The children are immersed in a bilingual setting and continuously learning through challenge and enquiry. Thai skills and content are structured around this UK learning approach.
Age-appropriate challenges and experiences are given to the children throughout their learning journey, moving away from ‘learning through play’ and more towards independent and interdependent problem-solving applications and analysing outcomes. As the children’s journey continues, their holistic capabilities develop and widen. This journey enables the children the opportunity to find their own academic strengths and interests in a variety of subjects before moving on to the more focused academic content in the Secondary Phases.
